摘 要：This paper uses high-frequency administrative and survey data from China's second largest delivery platform in 2024 to examine how quasi-natural negative income shocks like customer low ratings, complaints, and rider-caused cancellations, affect labor-supply decisions on both extensive and intensive margins. By incorporating these shocks, we distinguish unanticipated from anticipated factors and provide the first evidence on reference-dependent labor supply among food-delivery gig workers in a developing-country context. Discrete-time hazard and rest-time models show that unanticipated shocks induce significant loss-aversion effects among gig workers, while riders' responses to anticipated fluctuations are fully consistent with predictions of the neoclassical model. Further tests demonstrate that shock impacts decay over time, with more recent shocks exerting larger influences, consistent with dynamically adapting reference points. Heterogeneity analyses reveal that full-time riders and less-experienced ones exhibit stronger responses to shocks, and that shorter shifts amplify the effect. These findings offer empirical guidance for platforms to design more nuanced incentive schemes.

主讲人简介：

张丹丹，北京大学国家发展研究院经济学教授、博士生导师，北京大学博雅青年学者、教育部长江青年学者。现任北京大学国家发展研究院副院长及南南合作与发展制服做爱 副院长、北京大学中国经济研究中心常务副主任。近期她成立了北京大学AI与经济学实验室，并任主任。此外，她担任中国劳动经济学会常务理事，并兼任“人工智能与灵活就业”专委会主任。同时，张丹丹代表中国担任亚澳劳动经济学家协会（AASLE）执行委员会委员,国家公共就业服务区域中心（北京）智库专家，财新智库学术委员等社会职务，以及智联招聘就业形势分析专家。

张丹丹博士毕业于澳大利亚国立大学，研究领域为劳动经济学和中国经济。她的研究重点关注转型期弱势群体的福利、社会变迁和制度文化冲击对人类行为的影响，以及灵活就业、人工智能等劳动市场问题。近年来，张丹丹的学术成果相继发表于Economic Journal，Nature: Human Behaviour，Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization， Journal of Population Economics, China Economic Review, Health Economics，Journal of Asian Economics，《经济研究》，《管理世界》，《经济学（季刊）》等国内外经济学和综合科学领域的顶级期刊。

同时，她主持多项国家自然科学基金面上项目、国家社会科学基金重点项目和国家高端智库重点研究课题。此外，张丹丹多次作为专家组成员参与人力资源和社会保障部、国家统计局、国家发展和改革委员会、财政部、国家疾控中心、国务院发展研究中心等机构组织的专题座谈和讨论，针对疫情防控、灵活就业、AI对劳动力市场影响等议题提供政策建议。她的研究成果形成的政策报告多次被中共中央办公厅、国务院及教育部等相关部委采纳。
